Our aim is to provide students with an understanding of how digital devices work in the modern era.
To give them an understanding of computational thinking and how logical thinking and problem solving are applied
in the real world.
We also aim to give students lifelong skills which will support them through their education and beyond.

- Problem solving through decomposition and algorithmic thinking.
- Understand how digital devices work and communicate with one another
- Develop practical programming and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to develop creative solutions for a given audience by selecting, combining and creating digital artefacts.
- Be able to use ICT to support them in their education as well as in the world of work.

The Way We Assess Our Students
- Students will be assessed using a combination of end of unit written and practical tests, as well as on the work they produce in class.
- Students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge within a variety of tasks to stretch and challenge their ability.
Outside Of The Classroom
- We want students to have an understanding of ethical and moral issues surrounding the use if ICT.
- Students will be given the opportunity to develop their programming skills in a fun and social environment.
- We want students to understand the vast career opportunities available to them in a range of different sectors.
- We want students to be able to confidently and safely use ICT outside the classroom and within a professional environment.
